An axolotl that wriggles in your hand like a live one.

The body is printed in one piece — no glue, no screws, no small parts to lose. The head sits on a ball joint and turns from side to side, the four legs with spread toes have their own joints, and the segmented tail sways in every direction. The frilly gills and the smiling face are what make an axolotl an axolotl. We snap the head on — it arrives ready.

How it feels

At 25 cm from nose to tail tip it fills the hand and lies flat on four legs on a desk. The skin has a subtle texture; the joints run smoothly and quietly, with no clicking. A fidget that keeps your hands busy in a meeting or at the computer — and a figure you will want to put on a shelf.

From our print shop

We print every piece ourselves from silk PLA — a rigid, lightweight bioplastic with a pearl sheen — on our own printer farm. Four colourways: pearl white, pastel sakura pink, and two colour-shift silks — blue-green-pink and red-yellow-green — that shimmer depending on the angle. Fine print layers are visible and intended: they show the piece was printed, not moulded.

Model design: MatMire Makes (Cults3D). Printed and sold under a commercial licence purchased from the designer.
