Gifts for Teenage Girls: Ideas for 13, 14 and 15-Year-Olds

5 min read Updated By Kahaus · printed in Poland

In short

  • At 13: the star wand card holder (about 30 cm), a quiet rose or crystal spinner, or a small vase for her room.
  • From 14: the flexi axolotl (25 cm) and the flexi bunny (14 cm) are marked 14+ on the product page.
  • Pink is optional: every piece comes in several colours.

Gifts for teenage girls are tricky for one simple reason: between 13 and 15 she has her own taste, and it changes fast. What was cute last year can feel childish now, and a gift chosen for "a girl her age" rather than for her ends up in a drawer.

We print everything below ourselves, in Poland, from PLA, and ship in 24–48 h. We choose by what she is into, not by what girls are supposed to like, and we mark clearly what is for 14 and up.

What works at 13, 14 and 15

Three questions help more than any trend list.

  • Is it for her, or for a generic teenager? Look at her room, her bag, her phone case. The colours she already picks tell you more than any gift guide.
  • Will it live on her desk or in her bag? Homework happens at a desk, and what sits there gets used.
  • Is it right for her age? Some of our articulated figures are marked "not suitable for children under 14". For a 13-year-old we choose from the rest.

One honest limit: if she is saving for something big, a small printed object will not replace it. And if you are also buying for her older sister or her mum, grown-up women have their own guide: small gifts for women.

For a teen with her own card: the star wand card holder

The star wand card holder is what we would pick for a teenager who already pays with her own contactless card or a pay sticker. The star has a recessed disc where the card or sticker slots in. At the till she pulls out the wand and taps to pay.

It is about 30 cm long, around 80 g, printed in dual-tone silk PLA, so each side shimmers in a different shade. On top: sculpted hearts and a five-point star. Five finishes: Sakura pink, Gold, White, Blue-Green-Violet and Red-Yellow-Green. For a kawaii or cosplay fan Sakura is the obvious choice. For someone who rolls her eyes at pink, Gold or White look more like an accessory than a toy.

For her desk: quiet spinners for homework

During revision, hands like to have something to do. Our spinners are quiet, which matters in a shared bedroom. At school, the rule is whatever her teacher allows.

  • The rose spinner is a rose about 8 cm across with fine petals. It spins smoothly and quietly, without clicking or rattling. Four colour mixes, from Blue-Green to Red-Gold.
  • The crystal spinner (7 cm) is a cluster of crystals that turns on several axes and fits in a jacket pocket. Also four colour mixes.

Neither needs batteries or assembly. Many people find a spinner helps to keep their hands busy while they think. More ideas in our fidget toys.

From 14: the flexi axolotl and the flexi bunny

An articulated animal is a fidget and a shelf figure in one. Both below carry the note "not suitable for children under 14" on the product page, so they are a gift for a 14- or 15-year-old, not for a 13-year-old.

  • The flexi axolotl is 25 cm from nose to tail, with frilly gills and a smiling face. Head, legs and segmented tail all move; it is printed in one piece and arrives ready, with no glue. Silk PLA in pearl white, Sakura pink and two colour-shift silks.
  • The flexi bunny is 14 cm tall when seated. It sits, lies flat and raises its ears. Colours: pearl white, black, pastel pink and a red-gold silk.

The joints run smoothly and quietly. More moving animals in our flexi animals collection.

For her room: a small vase and a dragon for the shelf

For a teenager arranging her own room, small decor with one job fits well. The small Japandi vase is 9.6 cm tall and 6.4 cm across, in ten colours including Sakura pink, silk gold, silk silver, black and olive. The Shizu vase is 12.4 cm tall in the same colours.

Both are for dry arrangements only: PLA vases are not meant for water. Matching stems to a vase: our guide to the dried flower vase in Japandi style. More pieces in home decor.

Questions we often hear

What can I give a 13-year-old if the flexi animals are 14+?

The star wand card holder, the rose or crystal spinner, a small vase for dried stems or the dragon figure.

Does the star wand only make sense with a card?

No. Without a card it is a desk piece and something to twirl. If she has a contactless card, she slots in her own.

Does it all have to be pink?

Not at all. The wand comes in five finishes, the spinners in four colour mixes, the axolotl and bunny in four colourways each, and the vases in ten colours, including black.
